Amos Anderson Art Museum
In the center of the city of Helsinki is a museum that presents the biggest private art collection in Finland. Founder of the museum was the owner of several publishing houses and a popular daily newspaper - Amos Anderson. He was a great lover of antiquity and has supported the development of theater, music and visual arts.
The museum was founded in 1965 in a private house Anderson, who rebuilt several times and was extended in 1985.
Anderson Art Museum presents the art of Finland from the beginning of the 20th century. It also hosts themed exhibitions on traditional and contemporary art and architecture.
Amos Anderson Museum is open to the public every day except Tuesday. The building of the museum are also a cafe and a gift shop.
