Lake Inari

Lake Inari

Inari or Inari is the largest of the lakes of Lapland. An area of one thousand square kilometers and a depth in some places is 92 m meters. Such a wide lake formed by the melting glacier more than ten thousand years ago. 

Scattered on the lake of a thousand islands. The most famous of them - this island cemetery of ancient Sami Hautuumaasaari and Ukonkivi. 

The lake is popular with anglers. Inari water surrounded by pine forests. Incredibly fresh air combined with the beauty of the surrounding wilderness make this area attractive for travelers.
