Saimaa Lake
Lake Saimaa area of 4000 400 square kilometers is the largest body of water in Finland and the fourth largest in Europe. This extensive lake system includes two large lakes - and Pihlajavesi Haukivesi.
Huge water area connected set of islands, of which there are about 14 thousand. One of them stands a fortress Olavinlinna.
In the waters of Lake Saimaa usual very rare species of freshwater seals and the Saimaa ringed seal. In addition, the lake is famous for the abundance of large fish, especially salmon. That is why these places are known among the fishermen who want to fish in the lakes of Finland.
