Turku Castle
Castle in the city of Turku is the main attraction of the city. Raised in the 13th century building is one of the oldest in Finland. During its existence, the castle was rebuilt many times. During the Second World War, its walls were practically destroyed, reconstruction began only in 1961.
Nowadays the castle is full of museums and exhibitions that tell the history of the city from the Viking era, as well as Finland. Here you can see a variety of archaeological finds, learn a lot of new and interesting things about the life of the ancient inhabitants of these places.
Medieval castle in the city center is the pride of Turku and its cultural center. Within the walls of the castle hosts concerts and theater performances. Chapel of the castle is a popular venue for weddings.
The castle is open to visitors every day except Monday.
